Forearm Position matters during Eccentric Shoulder Exercises: with implications for Rehab – 2020 – Hedt
Procedure
– 5 eccentric exercises of the dominant extremity
– Each exercise was performed with 2-3 forearm positions: supination (thumb up) neutral (thumb neutral), pronation (thumb down)
(A) SL – Side-lying DB Horizontal Ab-duction Eccentrics: thumb up – thumb neutral – thumb down
(B) Half-Kneeling Weighted Ball Decelerations
(C) Seated Dumbbell External Rotation Eccentrics: elbow in front (scaption) external supported on table – neutral & supinated
(D) STND – Standing Tube External Rotation Eccentrics: elbow tucked @0º pronated grip, neutral grip, supinated grip
(E) Supine Tube External Rotation Eccentrics: elbow @90º pronated grip & neutral grip
